Did You Know TWICE’s Chaeyoung Almost Left The Group? Here’s What Changed Her Mind!

People often think that gaining stardom makes life easier and happier. But many K-pop stars have shared stories showing how fame has brought real struggles. TWICE member Chaeyoung, who just made her solo debut, spoke openly about the tough times she faced even though her group was in an amazing position. So, read on to know all about the difficult period and what made her stay.

On TWICE’s Chaeyoung Considering To Quit The Group

In an episode of a podcast on the SPNS TV YouTube channel, Chaeyoung talked about her musical journey. She reflected on the ups and downs that shaped her as an artist. The conversation took a turn when the host asked her about how she dealt with all the fame when she was young. In response, Chaeyoung talked about her exhausting routine back then. As new artists, the group worked non-stop, which left her with just thirty minutes of sleep each day.

This went on for over a month without a break. On some nights, she got to sleep for two or three hours. This routine left her drained in ways hard to imagine. She said that it was extremely worse when they were promoting their breakout songs like ‘Cheer Up’ and ‘TT’. Wondering what the case is? Well, she was juggling school lessons and endless promo events and stage shows.

The K-pop idol called those months the most gruelling part of her journey. So, the exhaustion was so intense that she thought about leaving the group. She felt overwhelmed and wondered if she could keep going under the pressure.

This also caused arguments at home, especially with her mother. However, her mom urged her to stay strong and pointed at the years of hard training that would go to waste. Those words made the K-pop idol pause and think about future regrets. In the end, they helped her choose to push forward and get through it.
