From a post to a message, every move by a K-pop idol quickly becomes the talk of the town. The same thing has happened again, and this time it involves Stray Kids’ leader Bang Chan and Felix. Some fans believe the leader subtly shaded the latter after dating rumours with a controversial director from JYP Entertainment made rounds online. Read on to know all about it.

The drama began when Song Jieun, a director at JYP Entertainment’s Division 1, won an award at the Billboard Women in Music event. Many fans got angry because they felt she was using Stray Kids to help her own career instead of supporting the group properly. They pointed at the weak promotion for them and raised concerns about how she treated the members. Soon, fans started sending protest trucks to the company and demanded her removal.

But this isn’t it. Some fans claimed that Song Jieun had close personal ties with Stray Kids member Felix. Many users presented alleged proof of them dating on social media. These posts spread like wildfire, even though there was lack of evidence.

The situation became intense when Bang Chan, the group’s leader, changed his status on the fan app called Bubble. He updated it two times and both times he simply wrote the word “favouritism”. Fans quickly connected his message to the rumours about Felix getting special treatment from the company. Some believed the leader was blaming the other member. Whereas others thought Bang Chan was just showing his frustration with the mistreatment.
