ENHYPEN’s Sunghoon Mobbed And Chased By Sasaengs, Fans Demand Better Protection!
Engenes are asking BELIFT LAB to take strong measures to protect the members.
K-pop groups like ENHYPEN have millions of fans who love and support them every day. Fans cheer for them but sometimes, a few ‘sasaengs’, aka obsessive fans, go too far. They invade the idols’ private space and cause trouble. This just happened to Sunghoon. The ENHYPEN member was mobbed by fans at the airport, which made things scary and chaotic. Read on to know more.
Sunghoon Harassed By Sasaeng Fans At Airport
Several videos show what happened to Sunghoon when he came back to Korea. As soon as he came, many female fans started running after him and chased him through the terminal. The worst part happened near an elevator when the fans pushed and shoved each other to be near him. Following which, Sunghoon along with normal passengers, got trapped. Everyone looked uncomfortable and stressed.
Sasaengs forced Sunghoon (#ENHYPEN) to run around the airport searching for an elevator. Even after he found it, the staff had to physically block the girls to protect him. Fans are demanding the agency blacklist the sasaengs and ensure the artist’s safety.#ProtectSunghoon pic.twitter.com/ga8BcIqdzd

What made it even worse was the lack of strong security. As per reports, only a few female staff members were with the K-pop idol and no one else was there to control the crowd. Some sasaeng fans got very close and held their phones right in his face to record everything. Sunghoon tried to stay calm, but he looked very tired after the long flight and the chaos. The videos went viral quickly, and many engenes (ENHYPEN’s fandom name) felt angry.
They said that their behaviour is wrong and dangerous and also disrupts other people’s peace. Engenes are asking BELIFT LAB, the K-pop group’s company, to take strong measures to protect the members. They want better security and stricter rules for their idol’s protection. Many are also using hashtags like #ProtectSunghoon to express their concerns.
Well, this is extremely sad and not done! Fans should maintain boundaries and not forget that celebs are human beings too. They deserve to live peacefully.
