The entire issue blew up when reports claimed the woman, called injection auntie, gave illegal medical treatments without a proper licence. Key’s agency, SM Entertainment, shared that he met her through a friend and always thought she was a real doctor. He got some treatments at home because it was convenient, but he had no clue about the actual situation until news came out.
Following which, the K-pop star posted an apology online. Key said that he felt sorry for worrying fans and others and chose to leave variety shows right away.
Still, many people aren’t convinced, as an old message from the woman came back into the spotlight where she explained she ran a company linked to medical supplies and cosmetics. She said her husband had years of experience in the field, which gave her extra knowledge, but she never called herself a doctor or skin expert.
