Many legal battles are happening in Korean music companies. One big case is between Source Music and former ADOR Ceo Min Hee Jin. She claimed that the company copied her ideas. And now, a decision has been made in a Seoul court. It has ignited heated discussions online, so keep on reading!

On Friday, a Seoul court held the fourth meeting for a lawsuit asking for 500 million won in damages. It was filed by Source Music against Min Hee Jin last year after intense public arguments about girl groups.

Earlier, the former CEO of ADOR claimed Source Music treated some NewJeans members badly and let another group, which is LE SSERAFIM debut first in an unfair way. These points caused a havoc and later lawyers from both sides spoke in court and the judge reviewed it and made a decision.

Following which, as per Koreaboo, Source Music said everything she claimed was wrong. They said no ideas were taken from Min Hee Jin. Source Music also shared old messages as evidence and warned about taking more legal steps if wrong stories continued.

On the other hand, new paths opened for Min Hee Jin after leaving her old job. She started her own company called OK about one year later. The new place is in a busy part of Seoul and focuses on music work. Many believe it will soon sign artists and make new music, especially with Newjeans.

Also, earlier, NewJeans lost a legal battle against ADOR. The much-awaited ruling was given, which confirmed ADOR’s exclusive contract with the K-pop group till 2029. Although the group has filed an appeal, recent reports claim that NewJeans won’t be able to conduct independent activities until 2029 if they lose the case.
