Well, Wonyoung has dealt with similar backlash since her early days in IVE. Online users often point out her gestures or the way she smiles or moves during events and call them “pick me” behaviour. Many fans call it a clear case of double standards. They said when male idols act cute or sweet in similar situations, fans usually praise it and go gaga over it.
For female idols like Wonyoung, the same behaviour gets turned into something negative and mocked. This frustrates fans. Some also believe that people are jealous of her success and hence, they always target her. Well, how about we let her live freely and stop overanalysing her actions? She’s a human being as well.
