NCT Mark’s Health Update Leaves Fans Anxious. Here’s Why!
NCTzens are asking SM Entertainment to give Mark longer breaks and lighter schedules.
K-pop idols live some of the busiest lives in the entertainment world and NCT’s Mark is a perfect example of it. He’s constantly jumping between group comebacks, solo music releases, variety shows, and overseas promotions. Fans admire how hard he works, but they have also been begging his company to let him rest. Their concern grew even bigger recently when his latest health checkup results were revealed. Read on to know more!
Why Are Fans Panicking Over NCT Mark’s Latest Medical Checkup Results?
Recently, Mark appeared on a show where doctors checked his overall health through a detailed body scan. The results left everyone quiet. Even though he is only in his mid-twenties, the machine showed that his body condition looks like someone in their thirties or forties. His muscles recover slowly, and his body is ageing faster than normal. The doctor explained that right now Mark feels fine because youth hides the damage, but in a few years the tiredness will catch up quickly.
Idols are overworked, sleep deprived, they don’t eat that much and heavily rely on IV drips and tons of supplements most of the time to function. It’s so normalized in kpop…. it’s sickening. They look good on the outside but they are not ok inside. https://t.co/814PSeP2y9

Fans feel a mix of sadness and anger after watching the episode. They know Mark rarely gets proper rest. Between group activities, solo songs, and other things, he almost never stays in one place for long. They noted that his energy mostly comes from coffee and vitamin drips and it’s not at all okay.
Further, NCTzens are asking SM Entertainment to give Mark longer breaks and lighter schedules. Some expressed fear over their favourite artists burning out too early. They also want the company to remember that idols are human beings and not machines.
Fans hope that these results are a wake-up call so all the K-pop idols can slow down a bit and take care of themselves. They are demanding changes in the industry and are going to speak up no matter what because health always comes first.
