Reports reveal that doctors found a benign tumour in his head, following which he plans to have surgery next month. During a live broadcast with Taiwanese media outlet ET Today, idol-turned-actor Yan An spoke openly with his fans and shared detailed information about his diagnosis. He shared that the tumour has made it hard for him to film his current drama. Yan An also added that he had known about the condition for a long time but had been unable to find a good time for surgery due to a busy schedule and other commitments. Hence, it got delayed.

But now he feels ready to take this important step. The idol-turned-actor revealed that he will shave his head for the surgery, which is going to take place in August. The procedure will require a few weeks of recovery. Following the revelation, he also reassured his fans that he’s staying strong and hopeful.
