As per Sports Kyunghyang, CL and Gang Dong Won’s cases are being handled by Yongsan Police Station, while Song Ga In’s is at Seocho Police Station, and Kim Wan Sun’s is at Dongbu Police Station, and it’s because of their failure to register their one-person agencies as required by law.

And this issue violates the Popular Culture and Arts Industry Development Act, which requires agencies to register to ensure fair practices. As per reports, operating unregistered agencies lets these stars skip rules meant to ensure fair contracts and protect artists’ rights.

Officials fear this might encourage others to think celebrities can break laws without facing consequences. The public’s reaction has been strong, with many expressing disappointment.

For the unversed, this scandal first came to light with singer Ock Joo Hyun, whose unregistered agency led to wider investigations. Other celebrities, like Sung Si Kyung, have also been caught in the net. Following which, Sung Si Kyung recently apologised.
