After finishing their mandatory military service, BTS immediately started working and flew to Los Angeles for a song camp. Fans had mixed reactions. Many wanted the members to rest and take proper time off before preparing a new album. Others felt happy seeing all seven members living together again and making music as a team. Now the album Arirang is out, but HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk’s recent interview has caused quite a stir online. Read on to know why!
The members of the popular boy band BTS had just completed their service when they started preparing for the fifth studio album titled Arirang. Instead of taking a long break, they headed to LA for songwriting sessions. While some ARMYs celebrated the quick reunion, many others worried that the group needed more time to relax and recover.
In a recent interview with Billboard, HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk opened up about the days before song camp. He shared that each member had made their own plans to rest after discharge. However, when he sincerely asked them to put those plans aside and work together on the album, they all agreed without any delay. They cancelled their personal schedules and flew to the United States as a group.
Bang Si-hyuk noted how difficult this choice must have been. After long months of military service, the members needed time to relax and recharge like any other person. Yet they chose to show strong commitment to their music and to the fans who had waited so long. He praised their deep love for what they do and said it explains why BTS remains so special.
However, many ARMYs felt upset and concerned that the members did not get enough rest right after such a demanding period. Some believed the company should have given them more personal time to recover before starting intense album preparations and tours. Others connected the story to previous discussions about delayed or altered solo projects.

Others noted that the members chose to do it out of love for their group and music. Still, the discussion highlighted how much fans care about the idols’ health and happiness. Many shared messages asking BTS to take care of themselves and rest whenever possible.
