Details About I.O.I’s May Comeback
Longtime K-pop fans are very excited by this news. However, it must be noted that the full group won’t be coming back this time. Jeon Somi, Kim Se Jeong, Choi Yoojung, Chungha, Kim So Hye, Jung Chaeyeon, Kim Doyeon, Lim Nayoung, and Yeonjung have agreed to participate in this comeback. Unfortunately, two members, Kang Mina and Zhou Jie Qiong, have opted out of the album and promotions due to prior commitments. Mina, in particular, has shifted focus to acting and was unable to carve out time for the comeback.
Nonetheless, the remaining nine members are gearing up for a May comeback. Some netizens are calling it the return of the ‘nation’s girl group’, one of the names I.O.I. was known by. Their well-known numbers include ‘Whatta Man (Good man)’, ‘Very Very Very ‘, and ‘Downpour’, the latter being their last song before disbanding. The band was always meant to be temporary. However, K-pop group I.O.I.’s success led fans to believe it would continue its activities.
