When beloved group EXO announced that they would be making a comeback this year, longtime fans were overjoyed, but nobody thought that their happiness would be so short-lived. SM Entertainment, EXO’s agency, recently announced that only 6 members of the group will be participating in the upcoming comeback. The remaining three members, Xiumin, Chen and Baekyun, also known as CBX, left the agency recently and were embroiled in a legal battle with the company. Today, it was revealed that CBX lost all 6 lawsuits it had filed against SM Entertainment. Now CBX have released a statement about everything through their current company INB100. CBX Releases Response Statement Regarding EXO’s Upcoming Comeback
In their statement, CBX apologised to the fans for delaying their response to the situation and also released a detailed timeline of all the events regarding EXO and SM Entertainment. INB100 claimed that on July 9, 2025, CBX met directly with SM Entertainment to confirm both parties’ intent and direction for an agreement regarding EXO’s full-group activities.
The company further revealed that on September 10, both sides had entered a practical negotiation stage, and by October 2, EXO-CBX had accepted all proposed conditions put forth by SM in order to let EXO make a comeback featuring all members.
CBX members also adjusted all their personal schedules to prioritise the upcoming EXO comeback in December and were waiting for SM’s final response through their legal team; however, during this time, they got to know about the group’s upcoming plans of a fan meeting and full album release, excluding CBX.
