KPop Demon Hunters Make Netflix History
According to the streaming service’s data released by Netflix’s official site, Tudum on September 3, KPop Demon Hunters has amassed a total of 266 million views and 443.4 million hours watched. Making the animated film the most viewed content on their site.
Just two weeks ago, KPop Demon Hunters was in third place for Netflix’s most-watched content, trailing behind Wednesday’s Season 1 (252.1 million views) and ‘Squid Game Season 1’ (265.2 million views). However, due to its unstoppable success, the film took over the No. 1 spot held by Squid Game season 1.
The streaming platform calculates the ranking on cumulative viewership within 91 days of release. Since the film was released on June 20, it still has around two weeks left of its tracking period. Experts foresee that the film will continue to hold the top spot for most-watched content on Netflix.
