On February 18, three CORTIS members visited Holly Akai, a nice acai bowl cafe in Seongsu, South Korea. The cafe shared a short video on Instagram Story of Martin and Seonghyeon going inside. Later, it posted fan videos that showed James too. At first, things looked calm but it turned bad outside.
Videos shared on X showed several adult women following the three members on the street at night and recording them closely. Following which, members Seonghyeon, Martin, and James started walking very fast to get away from the group behind them. However, the group didn’t leave them. Some even went near the taxi the members tried to get into, making it hard for them to leave.
COERs, the name for CORTIS fans, got very angry and spoke up online. They asked for better protection so idols can have safe personal time. Fans said everyone should respect privatespace and stop following or crowding them. They reminded people that the members are still young, infact some are minors, so they need extra care and safety. COERs told obsessive fans to set clear boundaries and treat idols like human beings who deserve normal lives.
