On November 25, exactly 100 days after their debut, BigHit Music surprised everyone with a heartfelt post on Weverse. They explained that back in September, fans sent in more than 19,000 ideas for the official fandom name. The company and the five members carefully looked through every single suggestion until they found the perfect one.
They selected COER and wait, it isn’t just a random word. It combines COR from CORTIS and the ending ER that means people who do something together. At the same time, it sounds exactly like CORE, which shows that fans are the strongest centre of the group’s world. It also represents everyone who will colour outside the lines with CORTIS.
