The Way Desi Men Are Hating On BTS India Tour Is Peak Toxic Masculinity!
For years, some men have criticised the group's style, clothes, music, and even looks.
Recently, BTS’s V, also known as Kim Taehyung, sent Indian fans into a frenzy during his solo Weverse livestream. He greeted them warmly with “Namaste, Indian Army, see you next year.” This small clip spread like wildfire across social media platforms. Many believed it hinted at BTS finally holding a concert in India during their 2026 world tour. From big Instagram pages to content creators, everyone hopped in and expressed their excitement. But not everyone was happy about it. Read on to know more!
Why Are Desi Men So Triggered By BTS Coming To India?
Some men on social media reacted in a disappointing and embarrassing way. They commented that they did not want BTS to come to India. Others said they preferred bands like Linkin Park (who are already set to perform in the country in early 2026). A few people called the K-pop group “gay” as if it was something bad.

However, BTS fans, aka ARMY, quickly stepped in to defend their favourite artist. They reminded everyone how the Indian ARMY had shown strong support for the country before. During the difficult time after the Pahalgam terror attack earlier in 2025, these fans worked hard to share the truth, fight fake news, and stand up for India. Their actions earned them respect and love from many people across the country. But guess what? We are back to square one.
Well, this kind of negative judgement toward BTS is nothing new. For years, some men have criticised the group’s style, clothes, music, and even looks. It often seems to come from discomfort with seeing so many girls and women enjoy something freely and passionately. When women find happiness and confidence in K-pop, it sometimes bothers those who cannot understand or accept it. Fans feel frustrated because everyone should be free to love what brings them joy.
