Recently, on a Weverse livestream, BTS’s leader RM surprised fans with honest comments about HYBE. His words ignited massive discussion online, and now a former BigHit employee shared their views on the matter. On December 21, the full group reunited for a fun live session that made everyone’s. The members expressed their excitement for the upcoming album but the situation became serious when the leader expressed his frustration over HYBE.
Ex-BigHit Music Director SHOCKED By BTS RM’s Recent Comments On HYBE
RM said he does not often speak like this but hopes that HYBE would care more for the group ahead of their highly anticipated comeback. Shortly afterward, Elly Chae, a former director at BigHit Music, posted her reaction online.
The former BigHit employee said they did not see it in person, but they were shocked by Kim Namjoon’s remarks. They believe that an artist making such a strong statement means there is a big problem inside the company. Elly Chae said that if the BTS members had gone into the military at different times instead of all together, their time in service and plans after getting out would already be set. Some activities would even be happening now. The company probably wanted all seven to go in at the same time, but they could not agree on it.
The former BigHit employee also said that BTS should have already begun promoting and preparing for a world tour after finishing military service. But several problems, like the legal battle with NewJeans and CEO Min Hee-jin, the case against Chairman Bang over the company’s IPO, and the heavy promotion to support new groups like CORTIS are causing delays.
Lastly, Elly Chae added that the company often needs the chairman’s direct approval for big decisions, which slows things down even though the company is huge. The company still relies on the seven BTS members for most of its income. However, many good staff have quit and now mostly executives focused on internal politics are left.
