BLACKPINK’s Rosé Opens Up On Past Relationships
Rosé recently joined the popular Call Her Daddy podcast, where she shared thoughts on her Grammy nominations, BLACKPINK, and her past relationships. She said that some partners understood her need for privacy, but one toxic relationship left her feeling very paranoid and insecure. Back then, she was young, deeply in love, and believed his excuses.
He often said he did not want her around his friends or that he was too busy because of work. She thought this showed how serious he was about his job, and she even found it attractive at first. Looking back now, she sees it differently. She realised it was not normal. After meeting other successful people who still made time for dates, the ‘Toxic Till The End’ singer understood she had been “gaslit” into thinking those restrictions were okay.

The K-pop idol also spoke about why she keeps her relationships private. She has never been in a public relationship because she wants to protect the people she loves. Being in the spotlight herself is part of her job, and she handles the attention well.
But it feels unfair when someone close to her faces criticism from fans and media. Right now, she does not feel completely safe going public. She hopes that one day, if the media becomes more respectful and protective, she might feel ready to share more openly.
