On February 27, BLACKPINK dropped Deadline through YG Entertainment. This is their first group album in more than three years since Born Pink in 2022. The five tracks are ‘Jump’, ‘Go’, ‘Me and My’, ‘Champion’, and ‘Fxxxboy’. ‘Jump’ was released first in July 2025 and did very well on music charts with lots of streams and the title track is ‘Go’ and the members helped write some lyrics.
Before the official release, some songs leaked online. This made many fans angry because they thought the music was not as good as before. After the album came out, social media was full of comments. A lot of people said the songs felt weaker. Some even wrote that the group should disband instead of releasing what they called half-hearted work. Others said it felt like just another normal day, not a big exciting comeback like before. Many fans also noticed that the members seem more interested in their solo projects now.
Not all reactions are negative. Some fans enjoy the new style and fresh sound in the songs. They think it shows that the K-pop group is trying something different after focusing on solo music for a long time. The short album and use of more English words also started discussions about whether it still feels like the old BLACKPINK.
