Furthermore, In the U.S., most sales came from physical albums like CDs. Fans bought about 41,000 copies in the first week, which was around 94 percent of total sales. BLACKPINK created many special versions of Deadline, and BLINKs loved collecting each one. Streaming added just about 11,000 units, and single song sales stayed small. Still, the big push from physical buys helped the EP land at No. 8 on the Billboard 200.
Deadline did well in many other countries. It reached No. 1 on iTunes’ Top Albums in 38 places. In the UK, the album started at No. 11 on the Official Albums Chart, and “Go” stayed at No. 44 on the singles chart.
In South Korea, the numbers were huge. The album sold 1.77 million copies in one week, setting a new record for K-pop girl groups. It sold 1.46 million on the first day alone. It went to No. 1 on both the Hanteo and Circle charts right away. These results show how much fans still love BLACKPINK after so many years.
