BIGBANG’s Daesung Addresses Dating Rumours With KARA’s Hur Youngji
On June 21, Mamamoo held the third night of their Seoul concerts as part of the Award World Tour. Several celebrities attended the show, including BIGBANG’s Daesung. He was seated next to KARA’s Hur Youngji, with OH MY GIRL’s Hyojung also present. Before the concert started, Daesung and Youngji were spotted looking at a phone together and looked comfortable and close while chatting. A video of the moment soon went viral on social media.
How Did It Began?
The rumours grew stronger because both idols had recently worked together on Daesung’s popular variety show, ZIP DAESUNG. Fans remembered how fellow BIGBANG member Taeyang had once said that Daesung and Youngji would get along well. Many netizens started joking that the pair looked like they were on a date and praised their chemistry.

Agency’s Response
Following which, on June 22, a representative from Daesung’s agency released a statement. The agency stated that the duo became good friends after working on the variety show. They attended the Mamamoo concert simply as colleagues and nothing more. The agency firmly denied any romantic relationship between them.
The quick response from the K-pop idol’s agency helped calm the chatter online. On the other hand, some fans asked others to behave and stop speculating and overanalysing.
