They became furious over Kim Woo-bin’s character being called Iblis, which is a name linked to the devil in Islam. Now the entire series is out and the backlash has exploded. A netizen straight away disliked the show from the beginning. They got angry about using the Iblis idea from Islam. Because, In their faith, this figure stands for pure evil, so picturing a romantic plot around it felt wrong and hard to watch.

More people on X started talking. They said Iblis is the name for the devil in Muslim holy books and putting that in a light-hearted romantic show was simply cultural appropriation.
Whereas, some people didn’t like how words from the Quran were used for laughs, with no care for what they mean. They also weren’t happy about how the writers made this “bad” figure look good in the show.

Plot
