K-drama Stars Lee Jong Suk, Lee Jun Hyuk Headline Shows In The Same Novel Universe

The dramas will be based on novels that have become extremely popular in South Korea and around the world. Written by Kim Eon Hee, Iseop’s Romance and A Casual Lie were first published as a webtoon. Later, they were converted into books. Though they work as solitary pieces, the author has confirmed that they’re set in the same universe. In fact, this association is explored in the novels as well.

Lee Jong Suk will play Tae I-seob, the successor of TK Group in Iseop’s Romance. Assigned to Kang Ming-yeong, a senior manager with 10 years of experience, he is irritated by her perfectionist attitude. Despite butting heads, will love bloom in the most unexpected place?

On the other hand, Lee Jun Hyuk stars as Tae Jun-seob, the TK Group chairman’s grandson. He comes across Yeon Woo-kyung, a copywriter. Seemingly innocent, she gets caught up in the TK Group’s battle for succession. Is she harmless or a pawn played by a bigger player? Watch the drama (or read the webtoon) to find out!

Fan Reactions About Lee Jong Suk And Lee Jun Hyuk Being Cast In Kim Eon Hee’s Adaptations

Most fans were thrilled to receive the news, which was dropped by ACE Factory on February  23, 2026. Office romance series have their fans, raising expectations. There is also a fair bit of focus on the bromance and push-and-pull between the two Lee actors’ characters. Some fans, however, are a bit apprehensive about Lee Jong Suk’s casting as I-seob. They were concerned about him not fitting the role well. That said, the positive reactions outweighed the negatives.
