Justin and Emily Baldoni shared a video on Instagram in which they stated they looked back at the said controversy with Blake Lively. The actor stated that they have not spoken publicly for the better part of the last two years, and it’s not because they hadn’t had anything to say. He expressed the feeling that every time they went to make a video and speak, something was telling them not to, adding that it just didn’t feel like the right time. His wife Emily expressed her gratitude and further said that they had to fight with so many things and try to understand things, like how could something like that even happen? She added, “Let alone disguised as a fight for women. So much to unpack.” She shared that the truth was that there has been a lot of “trauma” for them to move through as a family, which also made it difficult to speak. The Jane The Virgin star shared that there had been so many painful things that had been spoken into existence over the last two years, and that created so much noise, and they didn’t want to add to the noise. The actor stated that they wanted to let the justice system run its course. Justin stated they were healing and that they have to rethink for themselves what is real and what matters, which are their kids, family, friends, community and their faith. When it comes to the legal battle, Blake Lively reportedly withdrew her lawsuit and reached a settlement with Justin Baldoni and his Wayfarer Studios. It was reported that no financial exchange was a part of the same. It is said that the actress is reportedly seeking $7.5 million in legal fees from the actor and Wayfarer Studios.
