The ongoing legal battle between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively has had a shocking twist. As per the latest court documents, the latter’s behaviour during the filming of It Ends With Us was labelled by Danny Greenberg, the former’s ex-agent, as ‘extortion.’ He claimed that she used her star power to ask for creative control by putting intense pressure on Baldoni and the studio. As per PEOPLE, Danny Greenberg said that the situation became so intense that Justin Baldoni was at risk of getting thrown out of the film. While Danny also admitted that his words didn’t intend to be literal criminal extortion, he used it to describe the pressure and manipulation created by Lively and the studio.
The WME agent who represented Justin Baldoni during the production reportedly encouraged him in July 2024 to write to Sony about Blake Lively’s alleged attempt to gain control of the picture. Greenberg also believed Lively had made threats regarding the film’s premiere. He met with Sony production producer Ange Giannetti “about the behaviour that Blake was displaying along the way,” specifically “the premiere issue.”
According to TMZ, Blake’s makeup artist, Vivian Baker, shared that the alleged inappropriate instances involving Baldoni occurred during the first phase of filming It Ends With Us. On the other hand, her talent manager, Warren Zavala, mentioned that he didn’t know anything that made her uncomfortable during the second phase. He also added that there was a problem when Blake raised an issue during the post process while watching the test version of the film.
Blake Lively accused Baldoni, his production business Wayfarer Studios, and others engaged in the film of s*xual harassment and attempts to harm her reputation.
