Okay, so I have a bit of a confession. I have gotten kinda into and interested in BTS. Like I don’t know how to explain it but somehow in the span of a month, I am out here simping on Nam-joon/RM, Jungkook and Ho-seok/J-Hope like there is no tomorrow. Unapologetically, might I add. While I won’t say I am an ARMY because I think that is a level of fandom I am not at yet, I will say that I see why the BTS boys are loved the way they are. And if you are even a little familiar with the K-Pop, I am certain you must have heard of Jungkook who, other than being extremely popular amongst women, is also the youngest member of BTS and is known for being good at almost everything. And if you hadn’t heard his name yet, you sure will now as his FIFA anthem has gone viral after his mindblowing performance was shared by FIFA’s official account.
Since the upload of the FIFA anthem, ‘Dreamers’, ARMYs have take to Twitter and are comparing Jungkook’s anthem to Shakira’s iconic ‘Waka Waka’ from 2010. I personally don’t see the comparison considering that there is nothing Shakira-esque about his performance but let’s see what people are saying.

Okay, firstly, I don’t think there needs to be any comparisons between the two artists, songs, and performances. Secondly, I don’t even understand the comparison here! There was nothing Shakira-esque about Jungkook’s performance. In my opinion, this was pretty toned down considering it was coming from a BTS member. And I don’t mean to say that the performance was bad by any means. ‘Dreamers’ was an extremely fun song and I have watched the performance on repeat with no self-control. However, we all know how extra and intricate BTS choreography can be and by those standards, the FIFA performance was tame AF!
