Exclusive: Junaid Khan On Acknowledging His Privilege: “I’m The Firstborn Of One Of The Richest…”

Society has mended many stereotypical rules for men and women to exist together. While many believe that it’s the man whose responsible to bring home the bread, many others like Loveyapa star Junaid Khan don’t feel so. During an exclusive chat with Hauterrfly’s On A Date With hosted by Janvi Manchanda, the actor spoke about how he doesn’t agree with such societal norms and even acknowledged his privilege behind his thoughts.

Junaid Khan On His Privilege

During the exclusive conversation, Junaid Khan was asked if he believed that a man should be the provider in a relationship. To this he said, “No, I have never felt that. But then again, I come from immense privilege. In terms of power or money, I come from a very social background. My parents are so liberal and open, so I have never felt like that pressure.”  Talking about his privilege he said, “I am the first born son of one of the most powerful and one of the richest people in the country. So, it’s not something I use or not use, it just exists, and that’s how society sees it.”
