Barbie has been a big part of our childhood, whether it was the doll or the cartoons. And so the excitement to watch Greta Gerwig’s Barbie was quite obvious. However, the film has been made with some deeper themes instead of being just about the dreamy life of a doll. And actress Juhi Parmar has penned her feelings about the movie, not as an audience but as a parent to a 10-year-old. The actress has expressed her disappointment in the film for not being appropriate for kids because of various reasons.

Juhi Parmar penned a note on her social media platform that was addressed to Barbie. In the note, Juhi wrote that she took her child Samairra to watch Barbie on the basis that it had a PG-13 approval, however, she also accepted about not doing enough research about the film. Furthermore, Juhi Parmar wrote that she to came out of the theatre with her child because, within 10-15 minutes of the film, there were usage sexual connotations and inappropriate language. The actress also pointed out that many other parents left the theatre but some chose to sit through the film.

On this note, Juhi Parmar’s biggest problem was with Barbie being rated as a PG-13 film when in fact it was not one. She also expressed her concerns about other parents exposing their children to such adult content, which in return comes back to the other children too. Juhi Parmar also wrote that the trailer of the film did not show any of the foul language scenes and misguided the audiences into believing that it was appropriate for children too. She also blamed the film for ruining the perfect image of Barbie dolls for young girls.
