Being a single mother can be a task. Well, hear it from someone, who is acing at it. In a recent conversation with Hauterrfly’s The Male Feminist, actress Juhi Parmar opened up about being a single mother and the challenges that come forth. Her candid confessions revealed she finds it both a daunting and delightful feeling to parent her daughter single-handedly.
Speaking about the same, the actress said–”It is both difficult and easy. Difficult because all the burden and responsibility is on you, you’re the provider, nurturer, good cop, bad cop. You’ve to balance everything. If my decision is wrong then my daughter will have to bear the brunt of it all. There is a thin rope that you walk on. On top of that there are judgements thrown at you. But being a single mother can also be beautiful when your child looks up to you, believes in you and is your biggest supporter.”
Juhi also thanked her parents and said–”This journey became easier because of my parents. If I did not have their support then I wouldn’t have done it by myself. Whatever healed version of me you’re meeting today won’t be the same if not for their support. And I was able to take this decision of separating because my parents were standing strong by my side and are till today.”
She further added–”If today I am able to peacefully sit here and talk to you is because I know when my daughter comes back home from school, she has her nana, nani who will give her love and not some house help. I am grateful that my parents stayed strong with me and said you can work peacefully and we’re here for you.”
For the unversed, Juhi married actor Sachin Shroff in 2009 and welcomed their daughter Samaira in 2013. The couple soon parted ways in the year 2018.
