Let’s bid goodbye to September and welcome October with a list of highly anticipated films and web series! From Ananya Panday and Vihaan Samat’s thriller, CTRL to Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga starrer Joker: Folie à Deux,  here are some films and web series to add to your watch list! Which film or series are you looking forward to the most?

Shahkot (Theatres)

Starring Guru Randhawa and Isha Talwar, this story follows Iqbal Singh who sets off on a journey to Pakistan. His goal is to travel to Europe and become rich to fulfil his grandmother’s wishes. However, he finds himself in Pakistan, where he receives a lot of love. Iqbal starts working at a grand Haveli in Pakistan owned by a politician. As the story unfolds, Iqbal falls in love with the owner’s daughter, Marvi. Will they have a happy ending? Find out on October 4!

Joker: Folie à Deux (Theatres)

Brace yourselves, as the iconic moment is here! Joaquin Phoenix is back and this time Lady Gaga joins him as Harley Quinn. It is directed by Todd Phillips and will hit the theatres on October 2.

The Signature (Zee5)

The story follows an old man whose life changes dramatically when his wife gets hospitalised. As time passes, her health gets worse. The old man faces many financial and emotional battles while trying to save her. Starring Anupam Kher and Mahima Chaudhry in lead roles, it will be released on October 4.

The Tribe (Prime Video)

It’s time to welcome drama, gossip and more entertainment with Alanna Panday, Alaviaa Jaaferi and other influencers who move to Los Angeles to chase their dreams in the crazy world of content creation. Produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Aneesha Baig, the drama will unfold on October 4.

Amar Prem ki Prem Kahani (JioCinema)

Directed by Hardik Gajjar, it stars Sunny Singh and Aditya Seal playing lead roles. This rom-com revolves around two boys who fall in love with each other. However, their fathers do not accept their relationship. Following this, the boys work hard to convince them to accept their love. It will be available to stream on October 4.

CTRL (Netflix)

Ananya Panday is back with a bang! Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, the story follows Nella and Joe who seem like the perfect couple online. But, things take a turn when Joe cheats on her. Following,  Nella uses an AI app to help her forget him. However, the app starts to take control of her life! Find out more about the film on October 4.

Highway Love Season 2 (Amazon MX Player)

Get ready for an emotional rollercoaster ride! Kartik and Inaaya are back! However, their love story faces many obstacles, leading to many misunderstandings. Season 2 promises unfiltered emotions and the raw side of the couple as they fight for their love. It features Ritvik Sahore and Gayatri Bhardwaj in lead roles and will premiere on October 4.

Manvat Murders (Sony LIV)

Directed by Ashish Bende, this Marathi series stars Ashutosh Gowariker, Saie Tamhankar and Sonali Kulkarni in lead roles. It is a true crime web series and tells the story of several murders that took place in rural Maharashtra during the 1970s. As the police officer investigates the deaths of seven women and girls in Marathwada, things take a creepy turn as the murders are connected to human sacrifice, blood offerings and more! It will be available to stream on October 4.

If you are a fan of horror or sci-fi films, add this one to your list! A pre-wedding get-together turns into a nightmare for college friends as an unexpected guest shows up with a strange suitcase that pulls the group apart. What happens next? Find out on October 4.

Heartstopper Season 3 (Netflix)

The wait is over as Charlie and Nick are back! Directed by Andy Newbery, this part focuses on mental health, relationships, ambitions and more! As Nick and Charlie mature, they start learning more about themselves and each other. Dealing with desires, fears, and joys, this highly-anticipated part will be released on October 3.

House of Spoils (Prime Video)

Looks like this week promises a lot of spooky and horror movies. Directed by Bridget Savage Cole and Danielle Krudy, it stars Ariana DeBose, Barbie Ferreira and Arian Moayed in pivotal roles. The story follows an ambitious chef who starts a restaurant at a remote place however, soon an eerie presence begins to cause problems for her. Find out more about the film on October 3!
