It seems that the drama between Divya Khossla and Alia Bhatt isn’t over yet. She previously claimed that Alia’s Jigra was a copy of her project Savi. Divya also accused the Udta Punjab star of faking her box office numbers. Now, more drama has been added to this controversy. Mukesh Bhatt, who is one of the producers of Savi claimed that Divya made those allegations for publicity. Let’s explore what else he said in detail.

What Did Mukesh Bhatt Claim?

While talking about this matter, Mukesh Bhatt told Leheran Retro that Alia Bhatt is a huge star and if someone says something against a major star, they can create some controversy out of it. According to Mukesh, Alis is not so bankrupt that she has to steal ideas from his movies. He praised her and assured that Alia was not capable of doing something like that as he knew her personally.

Further the producer claimed that Divya Khossla’s allegations against Alia were a “publicity stunt.” The filmmaker added that every individual needs publicity and for that they need to create controversy. Mukesh, who hasn’t reportedly watched Jigra yet said that if he was not wrong, Mahesh Bhatt had made a film called Gumraah. This film was inspired by Bangkok Hilton. According to him, Jigra was inspired by the same movie. The producer also revealed buying rights to The Next Three Days film and flipping the lead’s gender for Savi.

Last year after Jigra was released, Divya Khossla took to her Instagram and shared a story revealing that she went to a theatre to watch the said film and the found it empty. Divya called out Alia Bhatt and alleged that she bought tickets for her own film and announced “fake” collections. Alia did not respond to these claims. Now, it will be interesting to see if Divya or Alia say something regarding this matter since people have again started talking about it after Mukesh Bhatt’s allegations.
