Is Jeremy Renner Joining MCU’s Hawkeye Season 2 Amid Pay Issues? We Know It All!
Jeremy Renner has spoken out for the first time about the controversy surrounding Hawkeye Season 2 and contrary to reports of a pay dispute!

Jeremy Renner has spoken out for the first time about the controversy surrounding Hawkeye Season 2 and contrary to earlier reports of a pay dispute, the actor is clearly keen on coming back to his Marvel roots. During a recent interview with entertainment reporter Josh Horowitz, Renner shared his latest thoughts on reprising the role of Clint Barton again. Contrary to previous reports that Renner declined an encore season because he was offered a substantial pay reduction from Season 1, the actor’s new comments paint a different picture.
Jeremy Renner On Hawkeye Season 2
Jeremy Renner confirmed that discussions around Hawkeye Season 2 are indeed happening behind the scenes. “There’s been talk about the story and where it could go,” he said, without giving away too much. Though nothing is officially locked in yet, he made it clear that he’s not ruling anything out: “I’d never say no to Hawkeye.” What’s remarkable is Renner’s personal connection to the character off-screen. The Mayor of Kingstown lead actor described how playing the role again would be more than just another check; it would have a purposeful effect on the children his nonprofit, the RennerVation Foundation, helps. “It’s a face they recognise. It matters to them,” he said, adding that Hawkeye’s resilience speaks particularly to kids in foster care and at-risk communities.
Talking about the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a fun world to be a part of, Renner explained that the fun of being Hawkeye isn’t only about the stunts or the fame, it’s about how the character affects young fans. He emphasised how significant it is for them to witness someone strong and grounded on the screen, and how that symbolic representation has been a personal driving force for him to keep the bow and arrow within reach.
The actor’s dedication to the role also falls in line with fan rumours that Hawkeye season 2 might become a grittier, action-oriented format in the style of The Raid, although Marvel Studios has yet to make a formal announcement.
