Jennifer Mistry Talks About Being Accused Of Playing The Woman’s Card When Speaking Out Against TMKOC Producers

Jennifer opened up about how the first time she spoke about the case against Asit Modi in public, a lot of people accused her of playing the ‘woman card.’ People constantly came up to me and said, “You are playing the woman card,” recalled Mistry.

The actress then also pointed out the hypocrisy in our society by talking about how when a man comes out in support of a woman, be it his wife, girlfriend or someone else, he is praised for speaking up. However, when a woman does the same, then it’s a woman card. Talking about the double standards, Mistry says, “You can’t see that I am standing up for myself alone, won’t she stand up for your daughter if something similar happens?”

The actress also talked more about her case and how, despite doing her best, she’s not able to go to court as the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producers keep bribing the police to hold back Jennifer’s case from being heard in the legal court.
