Jaya Bachchan Discusses The Importance Of Physical Experimentation, Says She Wouldn’t Mind If Navya Had A Child Without Marriage
Jaya Bachchan appeared on Navya Naveli Nanda’s podcast What The Hell Navya and opened up about the importance of physical attraction in relationships as well as having physical relations and experimenting. She stressed the importance of physical experimentation amongst the young generation. Well, it looks like the Bachchans are, genuinely, getting a modern makeover lately because of Navya Naveli Nanda and her mother Shweta Bachchan, doesn’t it?
Jaya Bachchan strongly believes that when it comes to relationships, physical attraction is of supreme importance, for a relationship to last longer and grow stronger with time. Expressing regret, Jaya Bachchan also exclaimed that during their times, they couldn’t experiment physically. She further added that a relationship cannot be built to last on “love, fresh air and adjustment”, she believes physical attraction to be an important part of a relationship.

Speaking to granddaughter, Navya Naveli Nanda, the veteran actress said that they could not experiment back in the day but in today’s time the young generation can and “why shouldn’t they?” She also highlighted that physical experimentation is also responsible for a long-lasting relationship and without a physical relationship, no relationship is going to last very long.
She added that even though the times have changed with the current generation, they still feel guilty going through that experience and experimenting physically. She strongly believes that it’s very wrong because It’s okay to go ahead and experiment without feeling bad or guilty about it since this is extremely normal and common now. She also said that she doesn’t have a problem if Navya Naveli Nanda chooses to have a child without marriage. She expressed that she would be very supportive of Navya.
When asked about her advice to the younger generation, when it comes to relationships, Jaya approached the question in a very clinical manner. She believes that since there’s a lack of love and romance today, the younger generation today should marry their best friends. She further added that everyone should have a good friend and they should discuss this with them and say stuff like, ‘Maybe I’d like to have a child with you because I like you, I think you’re nice, so let’s get married.’ This relationship could be very beautiful and last for a very long time according to Jaya Bachchan.
I am genuinely glad about the fact that Jaya Bachchan has opened up about this essential topic and encouraged the present generation to experiment with physical attraction and I believe that it’s about time that more influential people open up about the same. Having sex is a very normal and essential part of any relationship and shaming people for indulging in a physical relationship has somehow become the norm, over the years. It’s time we break this toxic cycle so, people can openly and safely engage in sexual activity. More parents and grandparents should talk about sex with their children and grandchildren. They should openly start a conversation about the importance of physical attraction as well as the importance of being safe while engaging in sex. This can not only help create awareness and appreciation for sex but also, help create a beautifully sex-positive society, for all of us.

The veteran actor Jaya Bachchan hasn’t been seen in a movie since Sunglass in 2013 but, she will be seen soon, in Karan Johar’s Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The film also stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi and the release date for the same has been set for 2023.
