During a recent event, the actress revealed her thoughts about the institution of marriage and whether she would want her granddaughter, Navya Naveli Nanda to get married. Jaya Bachchan On Granddaughter Navya Naveli’s Marriage

Jaya Bachchan recently spoke at We The Women event, during which host Barkha Dutt asked if marriage was an outdated institution. The actress agreed and stated that she’s a grandmother now and that her granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda would turn 28 in a few days. She expressed being too old to share advice with the young girls on how to raise kids. Jaya Bachchan acknowledged that things had changed a lot and the little kids have become so smart that they will outsmart the grown-ups.

The Guddi actress candidly expressed that she does not want Navya to get married. Jaya Bachchan added that a relationship should not have to be defined by the legality of marriage. She simply advised to just enjoy life. It’s refreshing to hear her modern thoughts about marriage and that she isn’t hesitant to speak them out loud.
