The backlash started when the actor-singer shared the trailer of his film on social media. Many senior artists and actors have commented on the issue, and writer Javed Akhtar also addressed the controversy during an interview. What Did Javed Akhtar Say?
Writer Javed Akhtar is known for his straightforward and practical comments on various ongoing issues. Duirng the NDTV Creators Manch, when the artist was asked about his opinion on Diljit Dosanjh’s film starring Pakistani actor Hania Aamir, Javed Akhtar said that the makers and actor did not know beforehand about the situation and they also put a lot of money into it, so the loss will be borne by an Indian person and not by Pakistan. Javed Akhtar also added that laws are not made in retrospect, on the basis of what happened 10 years ago, and that it’s not practical. He further stated that if the person knew about it before, he would not have invested money in it.
Javed Aktar opined that the government should let the film be released in India, but with a warning that the mistake should not be repeated.

On the other hand, singer Mika Singh had bashed Diljit Dosanjh for promoting his film Sardaar Ji 3 and said that the country should come first.
