Well, I’m pretty sure that everyone has already watched the trailer of the film Pathaan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham. As we all know, the spy thriller created a lot of buzz before its release because of the song ‘Besharam Rang’. Recently, Javed Akhtar commented on the controversy surrounding the film and its song, he said that every dharma (religion) should have its own censor board. The sarcasm is on point, NGL!
Earlier, MP Home Minister Narottam Mishra had mentioned that the screening of the film Pathaan shouldn’t be allowed in the state unless some scenes and costumes are corrected. The Madhya Pradesh Ulema Board had also sought a ban on the film as it misrepresents Islam. Speaking on the same, Javed Akhtar said that if the minister thinks there should be a separate censor board for Madhya Pradesh, they should just watch the film separately. He added that even though some people are not happy with the film receiving a UA certification, we shouldn’t come in between them as it is between them and the Centre.
On Monday, Javed Akhtar mentioned that there is one censor board in Madhya Pradesh and there is one censor board of the centre. According to the reports, he sarcastically said that we have at least four-five important dharmas and he thinks that they should have their own censors now so that moulvis will start watching films as well.
He added that people should trust the certification provided by the censor board for Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer. He also said that we can’t decide whether the song ‘Besharam Rang’ is right or wrong.
