Read on to know who Jasveen Sangha is.

Who is Jasveen Sangha

Dual US-UK citizen Jasveen Sangha, sometimes known as “Ketamine Queen,” ran a lavish drug distribution network in North Hollywood, allegedly providing ketamine (and other drugs) to wealthy and well-known customers, such as Matthew Perry.

In March 2024, Jasveen Sangha’s residence in North Hollywood, California, was raided by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). The DEA team discovered significant amounts of ketamine and methamphetamines, per an agent’s affidavit. After being charged in June of last year, she was taken into custody in August and has been imprisoned ever since.

The ketamine Queen struck a deal with prosecutors on Monday and agreed to plead guilty to five federal charges, as cited in a statement from the Department of Justice of America. Reuters reports that she has reportedly agreed to plead guilty to one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises, three counts of ketamine distribution, and one count of distribution of ketamine, resulting in death or grave bodily injury.

Jasveen Sangha, the 42-year-old drug dealer, has been accused of selling the late Matthew Perry a batch of ketamine that led to a fatal overdose and his ultimate demise in October 2023. Prosecutors revealed that Jasveen Sangha, if convicted, could get up to 45 years in prison for her crime.

About Matthew Perry’s Death

Matthew Perry first obtained the drug from his usual physician as a legitimate depression treatment, but he eventually started looking for more ketamine than his physician would supply. According to the prosecution, two weeks before his death, Perry began receiving further doses from Sangha. Four days before his death, Perry paid $6,000 in cash to Jasveen Sangha for large quantities of ketamine, including 25 vials.
