Sometimes fans cross a line and they have to face consequences for it. This is what happened with a Japanese woman in her 50s who tried to kiss BTS’s Jin without his consent at a fansign. Reports claim that the woman was indicted by the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors’ Office on November 12. The news came out publicly on November 17, and here’s what fans, aka ARMYs, are saying!
As per reports, prosecutors charged the Japanese woman with s*xual assault that happened in the fansign. This charge falls under South Korea’s strict S*xual Violence Punishment Act and soon, her case will go to the 9th Criminal Division of the Seoul Eastern District Court, where Judge Lee Jung Min will handle the trial. Everyone is waiting to see what punishment the court will decide.
Being a foreigner does not give any special protection in this situation. Korean lawyer Jung Tae Won explained that when someone from another country breaks the law in South Korea, the same rules apply to them as to Korean citizens. If the court finds her guilty, she could be forced to leave the country. Authorities might also ban her from coming back to Korea for many years.

Well, fans played a big role in pushing the case forward. Right after the fansign, videos surfaced online and they clearly saw the ‘Don’t Say You Love Me’ singer’s uncomfortable reaction. Many fans said that it was not just rude but actually an assault.
What Exactly Happened?
The K-pop star had just finished his military service and met his fans during the event. So many people attended it and were full of joy. However, after a while, the mood shifted after the Japanese woman forcibly tried to kiss Jin. Now, this case has everyone understand that boundaries matter and to respect their favourite artists.
