Janhvi Kapoor Says Mother Sridevi Was Deeply Affected By ‘Homewrecker’ Tag After Marriage With Boney Kapoor

Janhvi Kapoor On Sridevi, Boney Kapoor
During a recent conversation with Raj Shamani on his podcast, she opened up about losing her mother, Sridevi. She said, “The biggest trauma was losing my mom, especially the way I did, in front of the whole world and dealing with that journey… I cannot get over the pain of losing my mom. There is no one like her. I miss how funny she was.” She spoke about how she didn’t just lose one parent, but also a version of her dad, Boney Kapoor, around her. She also recalled watching an old interview of her mother, and her struggles with the decision to marry Boney.
She said that people were not kind when she was there and often called her a ‘homewrecker’ amid all the other cruel things. Janhvi further stated how history was much kinder to people who have passed and that she has understood her mother better now. She felt sorry for not understanding her before, while she was dealing with all this with a different lens from her as a kid. For the unversed, Boney Kapoor was earlier married to Shourie Kapoor and had two kids, Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor.

But their marriage quickly ended after he fell in love with the legendary actress Sridevi and had two kids, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, with her.
