The actress, who was accompanied on the show by Karan Johar, opened up about beauty ideals, cosmetic modifications, and unrealistic standards that frequently influence young women. During the episode, Janhvi Kapoor opened up about choosing to be open about her experiences so she doesn’t feed into the concept of perfectionism. She said, “I don’t believe in gatekeeping. I was one of the young girls who was very impressionable with the onset of social media and seeing everyone being judged and looked at in a certain way.” Kapoor said that she believed in doing what one wanted to and what they would feel happy doing.

She also addressed the speculation around her looks and the viral videos claiming she had undergone the ‘buffalo-plasty. She explained that her choices towards herself were guided by her late mother, Sridevi. Janhvi Kapoor said that she has always been cautious and thoughtful about what she does. She also emphasised the importance of transparency by highlighting that misinformation can highly influence young girls into making harmful decisions.

During the same episode, a conversation about physical infidelity being a deal-breaker also came up. And while Janhvi said that it was a deal-breaker for her in a relationship, Karan Johar, Twinkle Khanna, and Kajol said that it wasn’t the same for them. The conversation further spiralled into highlighting the difference between generations. Twinkle said that since Janhvi was still in her 20s she hadn’t seen things that the three of them have till their 50s. She also mentioned the phrase, ‘raat gayi baat gayi,’ highlighting how the matter should be gone with the night.
