During the interview, the Ulajh star stated that her mother, Sridevi, gave up her career when she was born. She further added, “She didn’t want to work on her own. Because she thought that I had worked for so many years. In fact, Papa was the one who was like, The kids have grown up now, and you get so much happiness from work. I will take care of them. I will stay with them during school, and I will schedule a summer vacation.” The Ulajh actor further added, “If you want to do this film, please do it; we all will come.” Janhvi Kapoor further said that he was very encouraging, and it was never like, Don’t eat before I eat. She also added, “It was never like, What have you worn? But Mom was very conservative. And also, Papa had to pretend to be. “
The Ulajh actor further shared an incident between her parents, “I still remember; she used to call him Papa sometimes. And he used to call her Jaan. So she was like, I’ve never worn something like this. Is this too much? And he would always say things like, If you are feeling good and confident, then wear whatever you want.” Janhvi Kapoor further added, “I’ve always come from that upbringing and that lens where papa was like work if you want to. Wear what you want and say what you want. Don’t worry so much about me. Make friends and go on a trip. He was very empowering like that. That’s why sometimes, in a professional situation, I had to recalibrate that not everyone’s like him.”
