SC Rejects Jacqueline Fernandez’s Plea To Quash 200 Cr Money Laundering Case Involving Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar

In the latest updates on the 200 crore money laundering involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, actor Jacqueline Fernandez has moved to the Supreme Court. As per the Enforcement Directorate (ED), the actor was aware of the moves made by Sukesh, and till now, her plea to give her relief from the case has been dismissed by the courts, including the High Court. Jacqueline Fernandez Moves To SC
Jacqueline Fernandez has reportedly moved to the Supreme Court, which also involves conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. In her plea, she has requested relief in the case, and as per a report by Live Law, the hearing will take place on September 22. The Enforcement Directorate in its investigation of this money laundering case has alleged that Fernandez knew about the Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s illegal activities and also named as the co-accused in the case, as per the reports. The ED also claimed that Fernandez received from expensive gifts like watches from Sukesh Chandrashekhar despite being aware of the illegal activities.
However, the actor has still maintained that the allegations hold no truth and that she had no knowledge about Chandrashekhar’s criminal background. She is being represented by Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi. As per he latest updates on the case, the Supreme Court headed by Justices Dipankar Datta and AG Masih have declined the petition by the actor. As per the India Today report, the Supreme Court has asked the petitioner to approach the court only at the appropriate stage of this proceeding.

On the other hand, conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar is currently behind bars and is in Delhi’s Mandoli Jail.
