Jackson Yee Earns Best Actor At Golden Rooster Awards, Delivers Emotional Speech

Famous Chinese actor Jackson Yee made history as he became the youngest recipient of the Best Actor award at the 38th Golden Rooster Awards. The 24-year-old actor did not just set a new age record but also became the first individual born after 2000 to be honoured with this award. Jackson Yee Makes Emotional Speech At The 38th Golden Rooster Awards

After being nominated three times in the past, Jackson Yee finally won the Golden Rooster Award for Best Actor this year. The teen idol-turned actor won the award for his lead role in Big World. Yee played the role of Liu Chunhe, a young man diagnosed with cerebral palsy who navigates the world in pursuit of chasing an unlikely dream.

Talking backstage, Jackson Yee expressed his gratitude and spoke about his journey. The actor said he made his debut twelve years ago and hopes the world will respect him for his work and not the noise around it.

Jackson Yee also shared his perspective on talent. He said that he does not solely rely on his talent. He said the world is too big, and everybody performs in life, and it’s the hard work, patience and courage to take risks that matter more. Finally, he thanked his fans for always supporting him by saying, “The road ahead is long and arduous, but I hope to earn the audience’s heartfelt respect through hard work and my work.”

Both critics and the audiences highly praised Yee’s performance in Big World, commending him for successfully highlighting the character’s complex emotions and powerful emotional impact.

Jackson Yee is a 24-year-old Chinese actor, dancer and singer. He first got popular as a member of the boy band TFBOYS. Yee later gained international recognition for praiseworthy performances in Chinese films like Better Days, A Little Red Flower and Full River Red.
