OMG! Did IU Stop Grooming Eyebrows For Her Role In When Life Gives You Tangerines? Our Girl Is Dedicated!

IU and Park Bo-gum starrer Netflix K-drama When Life Gives You Tangerines has been winning hearts as the internet falls in love with this heart-warming love story (which, BTW, is based on a true story). But did you know our girlie IU actually made a bold sacrifice for her role in the series? We’ve all heard of actors putting on weight, or losing it for their characters and whatnot but this Korean star actually stopped grooming her eyebrows.

Why Did IU Quit Grooming Eyebrows For When Life Gives Tangerines?

In order to portray the role of Ae Sun in the Netflix K-drama When Life Gives You Tangerines, IU stopped grooming her eyebrows and kept them looking bushy and unkempt. We can only imagine how difficult that must’ve been for this Korean star who is known to look well-groomed and nearly flawless with her stunning makeup. However, this bold beauty move helped the actor look more real as a rural housewife in Jeju Island who lives in a world where her understanding of beauty trends, products and services is limited.

Wait wait, hold on. Don’t believe us? Well, see it for yourself. We took a deep dive into the When Life Gives Tangerines star’s Instagram handle and spotted her pictures from her filming days and spotted her bushy eyebrows. In fact, the beauty gworl in me says, IU did not even trim her brows to portray her character with honesty. NGL but natural eyebrows or groomed eyebrows, IU looks stunning.
