My Instagram stories are filled with people’s views after watching Karan Johar’s directorial Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh starrer family drama has been receiving immense praise from the public as well. And there also have been many conversations around the surprising kissing scene between the veteran actors Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra. Ishita Moitra, who has penned the dialogues and co-written the script for RRKPK recently talked about the scene and released that it was always supposed to be there.

Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra’s kiss in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani was certainly one of the biggest and most unexpected surprises in the film. The dialogue and scriptwriter Ishita Moitra revealed some lesser-known deets about it during a recent interview. Ishita Moirta told Hindustan Times that the audience would not have seen the kiss coming between the veteran actors. She revealed that the kissing scene was a part of the original script and was not any last-minute addition. Elaborating more on the director’s take on it, she added that Karan Johar always wanted to make the kissing scene between Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra dignified. Ishita Moitra also stated that neither Shabana Azmi nor Dharmendra has any kind of issues with the kissing scene.
