When it comes to pregnancies, getting pregnant naturally is lauded while IVF, or surrogacy is often looked down upon. Isha Ambani recently in an interview shared that her twins Krishna and Aadiya, were born through in vitro fertilization (IVF). This brave admission is her way of trying to make IVF more normal and accepted. Just like her mother, Nita Ambani, who also had Isha and her brother Akash via IVF, Isha is following in her footsteps.
Isha Ambani On Breaking IVF Taboos
During an interview with Vogue “I’m quick to tell people my twins were conceived via IVF because that’s how we’ll make it normal,” Isha said. She believes talking about IVF openly will help remove the shame and secrecy often linked to it. “No one should feel alone or ashamed. IVF is tough and exhausting.” Isha’s openness comes at a time when many women, especially celebrities, face intense scrutiny about their pregnancies. Often, women go through IVF in secret because society still holds outdated views about fertility. Isha wants to change this. She further questioned why shouldn’t we be using advanced technology to have children. She believes IVF should be something to celebrate, not hide.

Isha also highlighted the importance of support during the IVF process. “You should be excited about it, not feel like you have to keep it a secret. Finding support groups or talking to other women going through the same thing can make it easier,” she said. Her advice aims to create a more supportive environment for women dealing with fertility issues. Her story is a reminder of how women’s bodies and their choices are often judged. By sharing her journey, Isha hopes to show that using modern methods like IVF is okay and should be embraced. Her honesty is meant to help other women feel less alone and more empowered in their fertility journeys.
Isha further talked about how she doubts herself and if she is doing the right thing when it comes to her children. She also revealed that despite hectic schedules, she and her husband Anand Piramal make sure that they are at home in time to put their children to bed. For the unversed, Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal got married on December 12, 2018, and welcomed twins Krishna and Aadiya in 2022.
