Gaurav Khanna, known for his much love character in Anupamaa as Anuj Kapadia, is missed by the fans as the show rebooted. While his character was written off all of a sudden, people thought it was because of his co-star Rupali Ganguly. But during a recent conversation, the actor denied any such claims and said that he or anyone else portraying Anuj would not abandon such a significant part due to personal grievances.
Gaurav Khanna On Coming Back On Anupamaa
During a recent conversation with Pinkvilla, “Anuj Kapadia, for me, is a comma; there’s no fullstop. Rajan Sir hasn’t killed the character. It’s just that there’s no space in the story for him. But it is Indian Television. Anyone can be alive and there are many examples.” He said that even though that didn’t mean he would be coming back on show, but never say never. Gaurav Khanna mentioned that Anupamaa is one of his favourite roles and hinted at a potential return.

For his portrayal of Anuj Kapadia in the hit television series Anupamaa, which also starred Rupali Ganguly and Sudhanshu Pandey in key parts, Gaurav was highly praised. The on-screen duo of Gauarv and Rupali as Anuj and Anupama was adored by viewers. The actor has starred in television series such as CID, Kumkum: Ek Pyaara Sa Bandhan, Meri Doli Tere Angna, Jeevan Saathi, Sasural Simar Ka, Tere Bin, and Gangaa in addition to this famouus show.

He participated on the culinary program Celebrity MasterChef after departing Anupamaa. He took a while to win over the judges, but eventually his cuisine received high appreciation, and Gaurav emerged victorious.
