Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone’s sudden exit from Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD, featuring Prabhas. And as the makers gear up for the release of the second part, everyone wonders who will replace the actor going ahead. Is Alia Bhatt Replacing Deepika Padukone In Kalki 2898 AD?
As per a report by Aakashavaani and Telugu Chitraalu, Alia Bhatt will be joining Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD with Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. It is important to note that these are just rumours and that the makers are yet to announce the actor who will be replacing Deepika Padukone. Reports suggest that she has already come on board and has joined the cast for the shoot of the next part. She allegedly shot for five days in Hyderabad in May.
Previous reports stated that Bhatt will be taking over the character of Sumathi (SUM-80), the mother of Kalki. However, latest reports suggest that she has been cast in a different role within the film, while Sai Pallavi will be stepping into Sumathi’s shoes post Padukone’s exit. Reportedly, the team will be filming the next phase soon, and the shoots are expected to wrap after that. The film might be released in December 2027 and might be completed in April next year.
