Since the past few months, fans have been aggressively pointing out that Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are slowly shifting to London. In fact, Anushka Sharma gave birth to their son Akaay in London which led to gossip that the couple might move there. The news received fuel again when Virat Kohli immediately left for the United Kingdom after the Indian Cricket Team’s World Cup Victory Parade on Thursday. The internet thinks that the couple is set on moving to London post Virat’s retirement from cricket and here’s why!
Virat Kohli’s Immediate Leave To London On Thursday
As mentioned, Virat Kohli didn’t spend a day in India after returning from their iconic T-20 World Cup win in Barbados. Virat had returned to India several times before for the IPL but Anushka and the kids never came with him. Even now, Virat immediately took off to London after the Victory Parade on Thursday to return to his family.
Akaay’s Birth In London
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma announced the birth of their second child Akaay on February 20, 2024, five days after the boy was born. Several reports claimed that Akaay was born in a UK-based hospital. While father Virat Kohli also missed the India Vs England Test Series to be there for the birth of his son. He was also photographed in London a few days later. The fact that two big celebrities managed to keep the birth of their child so secretive made the rumours even more believable!
Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma’s Many Spottings In London
Post their arrival in London, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have been spotted in London quite often. The cricketer took some time off from the game in December 2023 and flew to London to see his wife and kid. There, the couple was photographed outside a restaurant. And then again in February, Virat Kohli and Vamika Kohli’s picture sitting in a restaurant went viral!
The Couple Owns A UK-Listed Company
Magik Lamp lists Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli as directors. Magik Lamp was incorporated on August 1, 2022, as per the UK government’s Find and Update company information service. It is a management consultant company. The official address of the company is in West Yorkshire, United Kingdom. Among its three directors are Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli.

They Both Insisted On Having A ‘Private Life’
Virat Kohli once mentioned that his family took a two-month vacation to London to lead a “normal” life. And said that it felt like a surreal experience to him not being recognised by anyone. He said that he enjoyed being “Just another person on the road.” Virat has often shown his affection for living in Europe and spending more time with his kids- Vamika Kohli and Akaay Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma.
